The Golf Performance Process
Most golfers are told to rest, stretch, or modify their swing when pain shows up.
At Osborne Performance, we take a different approach.
We address the root cause of pain, restore the mobility and strength your swing demands, and then build the physical capacity to help you perform at a higher level.
This is not generic rehab. It’s a structured progression.
The 3-Step Process
1) Get Out of Pain
Restore comfort. Remove limitations. Address the root cause.
We begin with a comprehensive golf-specific movement assessment to identify what’s truly driving your pain — not just where it hurts.
You’ll receive:
• A detailed evaluation of mobility, strength, and swing-related movement patterns
• Targeted treatment to calm irritation and reduce symptoms
• A clear plan to restore normal function
The goal is simple:
Help you move without pain and stop compensating through your swing.
2) Optimize Movement
Restore mobility and build strength where your swing needs it most.
Once pain is under control, we address the limitations that were holding you back.
This phase focuses on:
• Improving rotational mobility (hips, thoracic spine, shoulders)
• Building strength and stability through the lower body and core
• Enhancing control and balance in golf-specific positions
This is where most traditional rehab stops.
For golfers, this is where performance begins.
3) Enhance Performance
Build power. Improve efficiency. Unlock distance.
When your body moves well, we shift toward performance development.
You’ll work on:
• Force production and rotational power
• Ground reaction force efficiency
• Strength and stability for consistent ball striking
• Improving distance without increasing stress on the body
The goal is not just to feel better —
It’s to help you swing freely, generate more power, and play at your highest level.
Whether you’re currently in pain or simply know there’s more potential in your game, this process is designed to help you:
✔ Move without limitations
✔ Swing with confidence
✔ Improve distance and performance
✔ Stay on the course for years to come
About
Ethan Osborne, PT, DPT
Founder, Osborne Performance
Ethan Osborne is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and TPI Level 2 Medical & Fitness Certified specialist focused exclusively on helping golfers move better, play without pain, and perform at their highest level.
After years of working with active individuals and athletes, Ethan saw a consistent gap between traditional physical therapy and the physical demands of the golf swing. Too often, golfers were told to “rest” or given generic rehab programs that never addressed how their body actually moves during the game they love.
Osborne Performance was built to bridge that gap.
Through a golf-specific movement assessment, strength development, and injury management, Ethan works with golfers of all levels — from competitive players to weekend members — who want to stay on the course and continue improving long-term.
His mission is simple:
Help golfers get out of pain, move without limitations, and perform at their highest level — so they can fully enjoy the game for years to come.
